The idea of Indo House germinated on a picturesque beach in Mexico, where Kahani envisioned a sound that could represent South Asian culture on the global music map. After refining the concept through various showcases in New York, Kahani approached Merchant, a seasoned DJ, who was initially skeptical. However, witnessing the crowd’s reaction to a fusion of traditional South Asian vocals with robust house beats changed his perspective, setting the foundation for Indo Warehouse.

Conquering Global Stages

The defining moment for Indo Warehouse came in 2023 at Coachella, where they delivered an unforgettable performance on the Gobi stage. The elaborate setup involved a 40-person ensemble that showcased the rich culture of South Asia, turning heads and gaining acclaim. This exposure was a significant step in their mission to establish Indo House as a recognized music genre.

Building the Indo House Community

The team has been actively engaging with music platforms and discussions to promote Indo House. Their efforts include hosting a show on SiriusXM’s Diplo’s Revolution and participating in the International Music Summit in Ibiza. Their presence has not only shed light on this emerging genre but also sparked interest from global icons in the music industry.
