Maná Achieves Top Spot on Charts with Carin León in “Vivir Sin Aire” Revival

The Resurgence of a Classic Hit

The Latin rock band Maná, together with Carin León, has revitalized their 1992 classic “Vivir Sin Aire,” leading to a significant resurgence on the charts. This new iteration brought the band back to the number one spot on the Latin Airplay chart for the first time in nearly a decade, marked by the chart date of September 13.

This version saw a dramatic increase in audience impressions, soaring 60% to reach 9.4 million in the U.S. for the week ending September 4. This success comes after a period of absence from the top since their 2016 hit “De Pies a Cabeza” with Nicky Jam.

Chart-Topping Success and Tour Highlights

With this latest achievement, Maná has now accumulated 12 number one hits on the Latin Airplay chart, matching milestones with other Latin music legends. The band now shares the fifth position for the most chart-toppers among Latin pop artists with Gloria Estefan and Juanes.

For Carin León, this collaboration marks another significant achievement, adding to his previous number one hits on the same chart. Interestingly, many of his successful collaborations have involved artists whose names start with “M,” which seems to be a winning formula for him.

The chart success of “Vivir Sin Aire” was bolstered by heavy rotations on key Univision stations including KCSA in Los Angeles, WOJO in Chicago, and KLNO in Dallas. These cities are also significant stops on Maná’s tour, which includes multiple dates in each location, highlighting the song’s widespread appeal.

A Stellar Tour and Promotions

The “Vivir Sin Aire Tour” commenced on September 5 in San Antonio, with the band scheduled for performances across major cities. Noteworthy are the four scheduled performances at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, a testament to their enduring popularity.

Furthermore, “Vivir Sin Aire” also topped the Regional Mexican Airplay chart with a 95% rise in audience impressions and climbed to the top of the Latin Pop Airplay chart, underscoring its broad appeal across different listener demographics.

The success of Maná and Carin León’s collaboration is also featured prominently on the website, with updates on all charts scheduled for September 9. Fans and followers can access detailed chart information and more via social media on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
