“Solar Eclipse” Opens at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100
“Solar Eclipse” lands at No. 5 in the Hot 100’s upper tier for the chart week dated October 17, 2026. That ranking uses streaming activity, radio audience impressions and sales data tracked by Luminate, according to Billboard, while the supplied chart data does not separate the contribution of any one component for this debut.
The track was added to Drake’s HABIBTI (FOMO) deluxe edition, released October 2, 2026, alongside three other tracks, according to Billboard Canada. Its Hot 100 result is therefore distinct from the album’s chart activity: it is a song-level entry with a stated one-week chart history as of October 17.
A New No. 6 Entry on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100
“Solar Eclipse” also arrives at No. 6 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 in the week of October 17, 2026. Like its U.S. Hot 100 appearance, the Canadian placement is a new entry. It has one week on that chart and a peak position of No. 6.
The two placements should be read as separate results on separately named Billboard charts: No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 6 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100. The evidence supplied does not provide comparative streaming, sales or airplay figures for either market.
No. 1 Starts on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop and R&B Song Charts
On the chart dated October 17, 2026, “Solar Eclipse” opens at No. 1 on both Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Billboard Hot R&B Songs. Neither placement is an upward move from a prior listed position; both are new entries.
The Hot R&B Songs opening is Don Toliver’s first No. 1 on that chart, Billboard Canada reports. Taken alongside the Hot 100 and Canadian Hot 100 debuts, the genre-chart starts show that the track’s first reported week registered across Billboard’s broader singles rankings and its R&B-focused charts.
The HABIBTI (FOMO) Deluxe Track’s Country-Chart Presence
A ChartStats snapshot dated October 19, 2026 lists “Solar Eclipse” on Apple Music country charts in 14 countries. The snapshot shows its strongest active position at No. 5 in the United States and its all-time peak at No. 1 in Saudi Arabia. Pitchfork’s review notes that the song interpolates Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” a documented connection that provides context for its appearance in the country-chart snapshot. The available data does not establish the interpolation as the cause of the song’s chart performance.
