Ozuna’s “Sirenita” Clinches Top Spot on Latin Airplay Charts

Ozuna’s latest track, “Sirenita,” has soared to the top, marking his 33rd number one on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. Released on June 5 by Nibiru/Sony Music Latin, “Sirenita” claimed its top position on September 20, demonstrating a robust presence on the charts over its first few weeks.

In its ascent, “Sirenita” showcased a strong performance, especially during the tracking week from September 5-11. It posted a 10% increase in audience impressions in the United States, highlighting its popularity with a total of 7.2 million impressions, as per data provided by Luminate.

This record places Ozuna just behind J Balvin and Daddy Yankee for the most number one hits since the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart’s inception in 2005. Here’s a quick look at the leading artists on this chart:

38, J Balvin
35, Daddy Yankee
33, Ozuna
29, Bad Bunny
20, Maluma
20, Wisin
20, Wisin & Yandel

Apart from its success on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart, “Sirenita” also made significant strides on other charts. It climbed from 6th to 3rd on the broader Latin Airplay chart and debuted as the Hot Shot on the Hot Latin Songs chart at position 42. The track not only gained in radio plays but also saw a 7% increase in streaming activity, reflecting its growing popularity across multiple platforms.

Ozuna’s track record includes 37 career songs that have reached the top 3 on these charts, with “Sirenita” joining the ranks. Interestingly, among these, only “Sirenita” and “Te Boté”—a collaboration with several top artists like Casper Mágico, Nio García, Darell, Nicky Jam, and Bad Bunny—did not reach number one, with the latter peaking at number two in 2018.

“Sirenita” also secured a spot on the Hot Latin Rhythm Songs chart, entering at number 22. This chart, which debuted in April, aggregates streaming data, digital sales, and radio audience metrics to rank songs.
