Carín León and Alejandro Fernández Achieve New Milestones with “Me Está Doliendo”
In an impressive surge on the charts, “Me Está Doliendo” by Carín León and Alejandro Fernández has climbed to the number one spot on Latin Airplay chart, dated September 20. This achievement comes shortly after the song also dominated the Regional Mexican Airplay chart, showcasing its broad appeal across diverse audience segments.
The track’s rise to the top is underscored by a remarkable increase in audience impressions, totaling 10 million in the United States for the week ending September 11. This marks a 58% jump from the previous week, according to data from Luminate. Additionally, the song has been recognized as the “Greatest Gainer” on the chart, a title given to the track with the most significant increase in impressions among the top 50 songs.
This chart-topping phenomenon is not new for Carín León, who with “Me Está Doliendo” displaces another of his collaborations, “Vivir Sin Aire” with Maná, from the upper echelons of the chart. The latter track fell to number 11 after experiencing a 38% decrease in audience impressions. León’s strategic musical partnerships and consistent performance have made him a prominent figure in the Latin music scene in 2025, marking his fourth number one on the Latin Airplay chart this year alone.
For Alejandro Fernández, “Me Está Doliendo” represents a significant achievement as well, marking his twelfth ascent to the top of the chart. This success breaks his tie with Marco Antonio Solis, setting a new record for the most number one songs by a regional Mexican artist since the inception of the Latin Airplay chart in 1994. Fernández’s landmark success underscores his enduring influence and popularity in the genre.
In addition to its triumph on the airplay charts, “Me Está Doliendo” has also performed well on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart, where it enjoyed a second consecutive week at the top with 8.9 million impressions, a 58% increase. Its radio success has further catapulted the song up the multi-metric Hot Latin Songs chart from number 49 to number 20, marking a new peak for Fernández this decade and equalling his previous high with “Caballero” in 2020.
The Hot Latin Songs chart, which combines radio airplay, streaming data, and digital sales, reflects the comprehensive popularity and reach of “Me Está Doliendo,” demonstrating the powerful impact of this collaboration between Carín León and Alejandro Fernández.
