Cardi B Holds Back on Releasing Music Video to Avoid Adding Stress on BIA’s Album Release Day

During a candid moment with her fans on a recent livestream, Cardi B discussed her decision to withhold the release of a music video for her song “Pretty & Petty,” which targets rapper BIA. The song was a direct response to their ongoing feud, which had recently escalated.

Cardi explained that the timing, coinciding with the release of BIA’s album Bianca, played a significant role in her decision. Understanding the pressures associated with album releases, she stated, “I know how stressful it is to put an album out, and I don’t wanna feel like a bully. Because when I bully, then God takes from me.”

“So I’ll do a video tomorrow morning to another song. Probably next week, I’ll do a video for ‘Pretty & Petty as F**k.’ I’mma be nice to you because it’s your album day. I don’t wanna add to your stress. I’m not that bad person that people think I am,” Cardi added, showing a side of empathy amidst the heated emotions of their public dispute.

This response followed a recent interview where BIA addressed the genesis of their feud. Speaking with Hot 97, BIA clarified that the conflict originated from perceived similarities between their musical projects, specifically citing fan comments on her project Really Her and Cardi’s track “Enough (Miami).”

Amid these tensions, Cardi had expressed her frustration on X Spaces, vehemently denying any imitation and criticizing BIA’s claims as delusional and uninteresting. “It’s like, b**ch, I done told you before. You’re not interesting enough for me to look at you. You’re not creative, your music is boring, everything about you is boring. I don’t care nothing about you. You’re bugging,” Cardi asserted.

The restrained approach to not release a potentially inflammatory video illustrates a more considerate aspect of Cardi B’s persona, contrasting sharply with the fiery exchanges that have characterized their public interactions.
