Doja Cat Dives Into ‘Fortnitemares’ As The Enigmatic Mother of Thorns
With Halloween on the horizon, Doja Cat has adopted a thrilling new persona in the virtual world of Fortnite as the Mother of Thorns. News of her inclusion, which broke on October 8th, has introduced her as the centerpiece for the 2025 “Fortnitemares” event, gearing up to offer gamers an unprecedentedly eerie experience.
Doja Cat’s transformation into a non-playable character (NPC) in Fortnite comes alongside the integration of her songs “AAAHH MEN!” and “Gorgeous” as in-game Jam Tracks. Her much-anticipated appearance was teased in a dramatic trailer where her NPC bursts through an attic floor, astride a monstrous plant creature, in a notably haunted house setting.
This year, “Fortnitemares” introduces a broader cast of haunting figures, extending from iconic Wednesday Addams to the legendary horrors of Jason Voorhees and Ghostface. Doja Cat’s menacing role and the chilling ensemble promise to deliver a Halloween edition like no other, available to gamers until the end of October.
Doja’s venture into Fortnite aligns with her musical career’s ongoing crescendo, following her latest album Vie, released in late September. This project is a sequel to her 2023 hit album Scarlet, and marks a robust return to her pop roots.
Shortly after her album’s release, Doja Cat announced an expansive global tour beginning in November in New Zealand, set to continue through the end of 2026. This tour aims to support her latest musical endeavors and connect with fans across the globe.
The “Fortnitemares” collaboration is but the latest in a series of partnerships between Fortnite and top musical talents, previously featuring stars like Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Sabrina Carpenter, and Billie Eilish.
