The incident, which occurred just before 1 p.m. PT, was swiftly reported to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, who disclosed that Simmons might have fainted or passed out preceding the crash.

Following the incident, Simmons was briefly hospitalized but was soon discharged and returned home for recovery.
