Lady Gaga Postpones Miami Concert Due to Vocal Strain
Lady Gaga, known for her energetic performances, faced a tough decision as she had to cancel her Miami concert scheduled for Wednesday night at the Kaseya Center. Despite her determination to perform, serious concerns about her vocal health led to the cancellation after consultations with her medical team.
The pop star took to her Instagram Stories to break the news to her fans. “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained,” she explained, highlighting the advice she received from her vocal coach and doctor to postpone the performance to avoid risking permanent damage.
Gaga’s heartfelt message conveyed the difficulty of her decision: “I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you but I don’t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords,” she wrote. She elaborated on the high demands of her live shows, which include powerful vocal performances, stressing the potential risks involved.
She expressed her apologies for the disruption and inconvenience caused by the last-minute cancellation. “I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment,” Gaga added, ensuring her fans of her commitment to their entertainment and well-being.
Videos circulating on social media showed disappointed fans exiting the Kaseya Center, as shared by observers online. Despite the setback, the singer reassured her audience that her team was working on rescheduling the Miami show as quickly as possible.
In addition to her tour, Gaga has been busy with other projects. She recently released “The Dead Dance,” a song featured in the second season of Wednesday, accompanied by a music video directed by Tim Burton. This release is part of the deluxe edition of her latest Mayhem album.
The Mayhem Ball Tour commenced in Las Vegas and includes stops across the U.S., with performances scheduled until September 18 in Chicago. Gaga is also set to appear at the MTV Video Music Awards and will perform at New York’s Madison Square Garden immediately following the VMAs.
