Ozuna’s ‘Sirenita’ Tops Latin Airplay, Marks His 33rd No. 1 Hit

Ozuna continues to dominate the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart as his latest hit “Sirenita” climbs from number four to the top position on the chart dated September 20. This achievement further cements Ozuna’s status as a leading force in Latin music, with “Sirenita” marking his 33rd No. 1.

The track, released under Nibiru/Sony Music Latin on June 5, has shown impressive staying power, occupying the top 10 for six of its nine weeks on the chart. During the week of September 5-11, “Sirenita” saw a 10% increase in audience impressions, totaling 7.2 million in the United States, based on data from Luminate.

Ozuna now holds the third most No. 1 hits on the chart since its inception in 2005. He trails only behind J Balvin with 38 and Daddy Yankee with 35 chart-toppers. Following them are Bad Bunny with 29, and Maluma, Wisin, and Wisin & Yandel each with 20.

The song’s success is not just limited to the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. On the broader Latin Airplay chart, “Sirenita” ascended from sixth to third place. This track contributes to Ozuna’s impressive tally of 37 songs that have reached the top three on the charts, with 35 of those achieving No. 1.

However, not every track reaches the pinnacle. Despite their popularity, “Sirenita” and “Te Boté,” Ozuna’s collaboration with Casper Mágico, Nio García, Darell, Nicky Jam, and Bad Bunny, are the only two among his top three charted songs that have not secured the No. 1 spot, with “Te Boté” peaking at No. 2 in 2018.

Additionally, “Sirenita” made a splash on the Hot Latin Songs chart, debuting at number 42 as the Hot Shot Debut of the week, thanks to a 7% rise in streaming activity during its tracking period.

The single also entered the Hot Latin Rhythm Songs chart at number 22, notable for combining streaming data, digital sales, and radio audience numbers into its ranking criteria.
