Rosalía Billboard Hall of Fame Award at 2026 Latin Music Awards

Rosalía to Receive Billboard Hall of Fame Award at 2026 Latin Music Awards

Rosalía will receive the Billboard Hall of Fame Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards, an honor announced October 1 that recognizes her global influence and career across genres and languages. She is scheduled to attend the ceremony on Thursday, October 22, at Miami’s James L. Knight Center; the show will air live at 8 p.m. ET on Telemundo and Peacock.

The distinction arrives while Rosalía remains an active contender at the same awards. She is a finalist in six categories, while her latest album LUX has supplied a notably broad Billboard-chart run spanning Latin, classical and world-music listings. That combination gives the Hall of Fame recognition a timely dimension: it acknowledges an established career as her work continues to register across formats that are not usually treated as a single commercial lane.

Rosalía will receive the Billboard Hall of Fame Award in Miami

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises announced that Rosalía will be the recipient of the Billboard Hall of Fame Award at this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards. The announcement describes the award as recognition for her global influence and a career that has moved across genres and languages.

The ceremony is set for the James L. Knight Center in Miami on October 22. Telemundo and Peacock will carry the event live beginning at 8 p.m. ET. No performance details were included in the announcement, but Rosalía is confirmed to attend.

Within the structure of an awards show, a Hall of Fame honor is distinct from the competitive categories. It frames the recipient’s body of work and influence more broadly, rather than recognizing a single recording from the eligibility period. In Rosalía’s case, however, the retrospective framing comes alongside a current awards-season presence and fresh chart milestones.

LUX’s five No. 1 debuts put the honor in a current chart context

According to Billboard Argentina, LUX opened at No. 1 on five Billboard charts: Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Pop Albums, Classical Albums, Classical Crossover and World Albums.

The album also debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, giving Rosalía her first top-10 placement on the all-genre albums chart, according to the Telemundo award announcement.

Those results place the Hall of Fame announcement alongside current chart achievements: LUX reached No. 1 across five listed charts, while the Billboard 200 debut marked a new personal high for Rosalía.

Six 2026 finalist spots keep Rosalía in competition

Rosalía will also enter the October 22 ceremony as a finalist for six Billboard Latin Music Awards. One of those nominations is Global 200 Latin Song of the Year for “La Perla,” her collaboration with Yahritza y Su Esencia, as reported in LOS40’s September nominations coverage.

The finalist tally and Hall of Fame Award should not be conflated: the former places Rosalía in competition in six categories, while the latter is the announced honor she will receive during the broadcast. Still, their overlap gives the night a dual role for the artist—recognition for the career cited by Billboard Latin Music Awards organizers, and an opportunity for additional awards connected to the current cycle.

For the 2026 ceremony, that makes LUX and “La Perla” more than background to a career accolade. The album’s five No. 1 Billboard-chart debuts and its No. 4 Billboard 200 opening establish the current commercial context, while the six finalist spots ensure Rosalía will remain part of the competitive program when the awards air from Miami.
