Gene Simmons Quick Recovery from Car Accident

Incident Details

Gene Simmons, the iconic KISS bassist and vocalist, was involved in a vehicular accident this past Tuesday in Malibu, California. Reports first surfaced through NBC4 Los Angeles, detailing the event which involved Simmons’ Lincoln Navigator colliding with a parked vehicle along Pacific Coast Highway. The incident, which occurred just before 1 p.m. PT, was swiftly reported to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, who disclosed that Simmons might have fainted or passed out preceding the crash.

Public Response and Recovery

Following the incident, Simmons was briefly hospitalized but was soon discharged and returned home for recovery. His quick return to normalcy was highlighted by a representative from KISS, who mentioned Simmons was “already back to work” the following day. In a public statement shared via his X account, Simmons expressed gratitude towards his fans for their support and reassured them of his well-being, admitting to a minor mishap due to his self-proclaimed poor driving skills.

Upcoming KISS Events

Despite the recent scare, Simmons’s schedule remains packed, particularly with the upcoming KISS reunion. The rock legends are set to perform next month for the first time since their December 2023 finale show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The reunion will take place at the KISS Kruise: Landlocked in Vegas event, scheduled from November 14-16 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Fans can look forward to unique performances including two KISS Unmasked shows – one acoustic and one electric – featuring Simmons alongside co-founder Paul Stanley and guitarist/vocalist Tommy Thayer.
